# Nextcloud

f you don't want to use public clouds or if you care about your private photos and documents, [Nextcloud](https://nextcloud.com/) is the solution for you. It runs on a regular LAMP server and there are several apps for mobiles and tablets.

**Nextcloud includes common cloud features:**

- Office
- Chat
- Notes
- Photo gallery
- E-mail client, calendar and address book (e-mail server installed separately)
- Project planner
- Possibility of sharing
- And there are many more modules to install

**I personally use the following mobile apps:**

- Nextcloud
- Nextcloud Talk
- Nextcloud Notes

Nextcloud saves notes in [markdown](https://www.markdownguide.org/) format, which has become the standard for developer documentation.
